How to install Windows Movie Maker / Windows Live Essentials on Windows 11

Windows Live Essentials 2012 officially supports: Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1.

Although Windows 10 and Windows 11 are not officially supported, they still support all the functionality as on the supported OSes.

The Windows Live Essentials 2012 suite of programmes includes Windows Movie Maker.

To download the file, please Right-Click the link and select 'Save link as...'.

Brief installation notes

To install the software, Double-Click the installer file (wlsetup-all), and click 'Yes' to the user account control popup.

Then click 'Install all of Windows Essentials (recommended)'

Wait for the installation to complete, and then it's done and ready to use!

1. Open the 'Settings' app

2. Click 'Apps'

3. Click 'Installed apps'

4. Find 'Windows Essentials from the list

5. Click the 3 dots, and click 'Uninstall

6. Click 'Yes' to the user account control

7. Click the 'Uninstall' option

8. Check each box for all the programs

9. Click uninstall and wait for the programs to be removed

10. The software is now uninstalled.
